To rob and sell children is a rewarding business in China: Over 20.000 children a year are being kidnapped, estimates the internet platform Baby Come Home. They are kidnapped by human traffickers: Some work as “working slaves” in rural regions, others are begging or sell their body as prostitutes within the cities. Some are purchased by childless families - boys become son and heir and girls end up as future, early marrying bride.
